Gwen was the first woman Grand Sultan and yes one of the original founders! She also led the Krewe for Head Dress parties. The women Sultans would have a mask parties and with the help of a little beer and a little wine would take some generic masks and add beautiful colored feathers. Gwen, maybe with Mary Kruse's help, was the lead for having these get-togethers, and for that matter a large portion of the entire Krewe get-togethers. 

Gwen also likes food more spicy than any other woman on the planet. I can beat her. (I think.)
